CAIRO, February 15, 2016

Saudi Arabia will supply Egypt with a monthly 800,000 tonnes of petroleum products for three months starting in February, an official from the Egyptian state oil board said on Monday.

"Saudi Arabia is giving us 180,000 tonnes of gasoline, 150,000 tonnes of fuel oil and 470,000 tonnes of diesel," the EGPC official said, declining to be named.

Saudi Arabia has promised to help to meet Egypt's petroleum needs for the next five years. The supplies are part of an initial three-month agreement, the details of which had not previously been made public
