Kuwait assessing bids for 15-year LNG deal

KUWAIT, January 15, 2016

Kuwait is assessing bids from liquefied natural gas (LNG) providers for a 15-year supply deal to begin in 2021, trade sources said.

Kuwait is seeking a minimum of 1.5 million tonnes of LNG to be supplied over the period, and has only invited producing heavyweights to participate in the tender, trade sources said.

The tender will close in early February, one trader said, and Kuwait is expected to buy more than its minimum requirement. - Reuters
