Cofely Besix Mannai FM..... upbeat on winning first Qatar contract.

Cofely Besix wins Qatar Petroleum contract

DOHA, October 15, 2014

Qatar-based Cofely Besix Mannai Facility Management (CBMFM), said it has won its first contract from Qatar Petroleum for maintenance and replacement of all the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment at its Dukhan oil fields.

Under the contract, CBMFM will be responsible for maintaining more than 1,200 HVAC assets covering a 65-km-long area, containing more than 700 oil-gas-and water injection wells, and over 4,000 km of pipelines.

The contract with Qatar Petroleum is valid for an initial five-year period, and will require a total of 120 operational personnel, said the company in a statement.

The scope of work involves corrective, reactive and planned preventative maintenance for all HVAC assets in Dukhan fields as well as minor project element that covers its replacement, it stated.

Scott Bethel, the general manager, said: "A full condition assessment of all HVAC assets will be carried out within the first 90 days, including the development of a planned preventative maintenance schedule and a replacement programme for any equipment requiring change out."

"This is a very exciting opportunity for us and we look forward to the challenge as it highlights our specialist technical capability, as well as our ability to deliver the highest service to our customers," he added.

Cofely Besix Facility Management was founded in 2008 as a joint venture between Cofely Services GDF Suez and Besix Group with headquarters in Dubai, UAE.

The company recently acquired a 49 per cent stake in a facility management company owned by Qatar's Mannai Corporation to become CBMFM.-TradeArabia News Service
