Hyundai announces MEA launch of all new Tucson

DUBAI, April 3, 2021

Hyundai Motor Company has launched its all-new Tucson model with the popular compact SUV set to signal a new way of driving for customers in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) regions.

The all-new Tucson, Hyundai’s best-selling model globally, enters the market as the most dynamic, innovative and competitive edition in its class, reflecting a magnificent blend of design, advanced technology, performance and packaging.

Bigger and wider than its predecessors, the fourth generation of the Tucson has been transformed with premium finishing and manufactured to meet the customers’ needs as well as providing unique and enjoyable experiences.

One unique feature that customers can take advantage of are the fabric ventilated front seats.

Previously only exclusive for leather seating, Hyundai Motor is the first car manufacturer to introduce the fabric option for ventilated front seating, providing more convenience for customers when on the go.

A hallmark of the all-new Tucson is Hyundai’s ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design identity and this brings out a futuristic and sporty SUV style look, said the statement.

Distinctive features at the front include hidden lighting DRLs with a parametric jewel design integrated into the parametric radiator grille which is highly appealing when turned on at night and a fresh-style meticulous parametric pattern bumper.

The radiator grille’s design has been enhanced while the absence of hood lines showcases a clean, elegant, and voluminous long hood style.

On the side, the bold character lines and voluminous rear wheel arches reinforce the sporty look while the eye-catching DLO molding unique design makes the all-new Tucson more luxurious.

The rear wheel arches, the largest volume in its class, have also been revamped while larger diameter tyres and parametric wheels complete the stylish look.

According to Hyundai, the wide proportions and iconic lighting designs at the rear enhance the all-new Tucson’s presence with several enhanced design features.

The rear combination lights feature a new wide, iconic layout and the triangular hidden tail lights add a mysterious look, creating a highly novel effect when activated. As well as an intricately detailed parametric pattern bumper, the all-new Tucson also has a hidden wiper,, it stated.

The quality of the all-new Tucson’s exterior is matched inside the cabin with the interior offering layered and sensuous forms that provide a feeling of openness and serenity, it added.

The unique 10.25inch open-type TFT-LCD cluster is a major innovation in design while the silver accent line that runs along the crash pad from the AVN/AC module to the doors makes the all-new Tucson more spacious.

One of the distinctive features is the vertically oriented fully integrated 10.25inch touch-screen centre fascia that descends to the console like a waterfall.

As well as offering smart navigation, this can be personalised to meet the customers’ needs and also offers Bluetooth multi-connection.

In addition, there are 64 colours of ambient mood lighting, which can be altered to different levels of brightness.

Drivers and passengers can benefit from a wide range of advanced technologies with the all-new Tucson offering a connectivity experience that is second to none.

Making journeys more enjoyable are the A/C technologies with the fully automatic system creating a pleasant indoor environment. Furthermore, the hidden innovative multi-air mode system diffuses cold and warm air gently and indirectly so it’s not harsh on your skin.

Other key features that come with the all-new Tucson are a customised power tailgate, heated second-row seating, Smart Cruise Control, wireless smartphone charging, a BOSE premium sound system and a panoramic sunroof, it stated.

At 4,500mm (overall length) and 1,865mm (overall width), the all-new Tucson is longer and wider than before and at 996mm (legroom) and 1,000mm (headroom), it is the largest second-row cabin space in its class. With more space, the Tucson also has a cargo capacity of VDA 620 litres.

With Hyundai utilising its SmartSense technology, the all-new Tucson offers more safety features than ever with the Blind-Spot View Mirror among the new features, it added.

Bang Sun Jeong, VP, Head of the Middle East & Africa Operation at Hyundai, said: "Having boasted a rich history since its inception in 2004, we didn’t want to create just another Tucson SUV model. Instead, we wanted to manufacture a vehicle that is iconic and will amaze our customers and I’m pleased that the latest Tucson reflects that in every way."

"Pushing the boundaries of the segment to reinvent just about everything and by utilising the best technologies, we have created an extraordinary car that is eye-catching, strong, robust, spacious, versatile and energetic," he noted.

"With a wide array of significant improvements, we are confident the all-new Tucson will exceed our customers’ expectations," he added.

The all-new Tucson is available in 10 exterior colour options including Phantom Black, Polar White, Dark Knight, Sunset Red, Silky Bronze, Shadow Grey, Engine Red, Shimmering Silver, Amazon Grey and Teal.

The car interior comes in black and grey colour options in one or two tones and available in a choice of two different cloth textures.

The N Line variant of the Tucson, featuring a unique design will also be available later this year.-TradeArabia News Service
