Mercedes-Benz Middle East website wins award

DUBAI, September 8, 2016

Mercedes-Benz Middle East, a unit of leading global luxury automotive brand, was recently recognised for the best “Automotive and Transport Equipment” website at the 13th annual International Business Awards, held in New York, US.

This is the second time the luxury car manufacturer’s Middle East website has won the award, said a statement from the company.

The event attracted a record number of entries this year – more than 3,800 company nominations in virtually every industry from more than 60 nations and territories around the world, it said.

Stevie Awards are awarded across 15 primary categories, with only top scoring submissions in each category receiving a Gold Stevie Award, it added.

Commenting on the winning entry, judges on the panel agreed: “The Mercedes-Benz Middle East website is an excellent reflection of the prestigious car brand, with excellent use of video content and interactivity.”

“The clean user interface and functionality of the website across both desktop and mobile made it easy to navigate, intuitive and engaging. It was a clear winner,” added the panel.

Lennart Mueller-Teut, head of marketing and communications, Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East, said: “We are delighted that our website - designed, built and managed in the Middle East – has been recognised as best in class internationally.”

“The Middle East is a region with high digital penetration and tech-savvy consumers. Our customers expect the best or nothing from every touchpoint they encounter with Mercedes-Benz, and that includes our website,” he said.

“Our mission has been to provide an information tool rich in content and design, that is relevant, engaging and inspiring for both existing and prospective customers, and receiving a Stevie award for the second time is great validation of our efforts,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
