Merc-Benz’ Bahraini dealer wins top honour

MANAMA, June 24, 2015

Al Haddad Motors, the authorised general distributor for Mercedes-Benz in Bahrain, has announced that Bahrain won a six-month sales competition among all other Middle Eastern competitors.

Bahrain was first in the Middle East with 343 points, followed by Dubai with 340 and Qatar coming in at 303 points, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

On an international scale, the overall winner was Vietnam with 437 points, Croatia and Thailand tied with 360 points and Bahrain again at 343 points.

Other competitors in the region included Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Lebanon, Jordan, Oman and Iraq.

The Sales Funnel Cup is an international sales competition that challenges Mercedes-Benz distributors around the world.

The cup utilises a strict grading methodology to measure the efficiency of sales, effort and awareness amongst distributors, classified by geographical region.

Throughout the race, each participating team was required to submit a detailed action plan that gave insight into the sales funnel process, data quality and lead management.

The competition began in October last year and ended this March.

Bahrain was neck and neck with Dubai until the final month when the kingdom pulled ahead with three points.
