Bahrain floods bring death, misery

MANAMA, December 26, 2015

Heavy downpour on Friday brought death and misery to Bahrain causing long tailbacks on major highways and several neighbourhoods turning into no-go areas due to heavy flooding.

And today will continue to be cold and cloudy, with rains easing off only later in the evening, say weathermen, reported The Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

A Bahraini man died after his car skidded on the wet Al Moaskar Highway and rammed into a tree with such force that it was uprooted.

Authorities have warned motorists to be cautious, and to  watch out at traffic junctions, with some signals developing technical faults due to the rains.
