First cinema complex opens in Western Region

Cinema lovers in Ruwais will finally get to enjoy the latest movies with the launch of the first cinema complex by Cine Royal Cinema in the western region of Abu Dhabi.
The 4-screen theatre successfully opened to the public at Ruwais mall for the first time last week. The cinema celebrated the ocassion by granting residents free access to all shows.
The cinema hall is spacious and can seat up to 414 besides catering to customers with special needs, said a statement from Cine Royal Cinema.
The theatre was fully packed throughout the launch day with residents of all ages enjoying family time out.
Commenting on the launch, Fazal Ameen, the CEO of Cine Royal Cinema said: “We are very excited to launch the first cinema complex in the Western Region, as part of our wider UAE expansion plans. The new cinema will bring movies to life with the latest world-class technology that is sure to delight moviegoers in Ruwais and neighbouring areas.”
Opening night visitors were able to enjoy the screening of major blockbusters Frozen, Dhoom 3, Act of Valor and Thor: The Dark World, said the statement.
Cine Royal Cinema, a subsidiary of Royal Group of Companies, opened its first nine-screen multiplex facility in November 2009 at Khalidiyah Mall. It is the only movie theatre in Abu Dhabi to offer certified Dolby Atmos audio, bringing several new additions to traditional cinema viewing experiences including overhead sound.
The group also has the largest Cineplex in the capital at Dalma Mall with 14 screens, including two Platinum Screens with the highest standards in personalised service and luxury, and four 3D-equipped halls, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
