Norton Rose boosts Mideast team

Abu Dhabi, December 12, 2013

Global legal practice Norton Rose Fulbright has deepened its commitment to Middle East with the appointment of David Baylis as the new regional head of corporate (M&A and Securities).

Norton Rose Fulbright has been active in the Middle East for nearly 35 years and also has offices in Bahrain, Dubai and Riyadh.

Baylis, a senior corporate partner, has relocated from London to take over the new role, said a statement from the company.

This follows on from David’s appointment to head of the Abu Dhabi office in June 2013.

David has previously worked in the Middle East and was involved in establishing Emirates Airlines and Dubai Duty Free. With a specialist focus on private equity (fund structures and MBOs/MBIs), David advises both institutions and management, it stated.

On his new role, David said: "This is an important time to be back in the region and to expand on our existing relationships with key Middle East entities. Business is steadily picking up in Abu Dhabi and across the region and we have been looking to strengthen our offering to clients in the corporate and private equity sphere."

"Abu Dhabi continues to offer us many opportunities and by strengthening our offering there we will remain at the forefront to take advantage of them," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
