RIYADH, February 12, 2024

Minister of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al Hogail and President of the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Alghamdi jointly unveiled 'SmartC Visual Pollution,' a platform designed to enhance the urban landscape throughout the kingdom.

The launch took place at the inaugural Global Smart City Forum which kicked off today (February 12) at the Arena Center in Riyadh, reported SPA.

The two-day event being organised by SDAIA under the theme 'A Better Life' brings together over 100 speakers from 40 countries.

According to Saudi authorities, the platform aims to monitor visual distortions on roads using AI-powered cameras.

By analyzing the data, it identifies instances of visual distortion, contributing to improved planning and a higher quality of life, in alignment with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, it added.
