ThinkSmart, Polytechnic to create IT jobs for Bahrainis

MANAMA, March 15, 2017

ThinkSmart for Development and Training, a Microsoft Gold Learning Partner together with "Bahrain Polytechnic" launched a new project aims to certifying 1,500 Bahrainis over a period of three years in latest Microsoft Courses and making them equipped with Business Skills needed to be ready for the IT Job Market, as well as encouraging entrepreneurship and productivity.

The courses will be offered to Bahraini Graduates, Students and Professionals; however trainees must comply with all of the terms and conditions.

This project will offer a variety of IT and Business Training programs; along with job counseling, business mentoring and entrepreneurship opportunities.

Dr Hasan Almulla, Bahrain Polytechnic’s deputy CEO of Education Services, said: "We are delighted to have signed with ThinkSmart, which we consider a strategic partner of the Polytechnic."

"Collaborating with companies such as ThinkSmart falls under our Strategic Plan 2015-2019 to graduate qualified students in the local and regional labor market, which also falls under the goals of the government work plan 2015-2018 and Bahrain 2030 Vision," he noted.

Ahmed Al Hujairy, Group CEO of ThinkSmart, said this initiative has been designed to encourage empowerment of Bahraini professionals in order to meet the regular challenges they face due to ever changing ICT trends and each organizations’ distinctive needs”.

"Under this special initiative, after successful Microsoft Certifications, each trainee will also go through business trainings matching the trainee’s aspiration – Employability or Entrepreneurship," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
