Du, Anite set up terminal innovation lab

Dubai-based telecommunication operator du has partnered with Anite, a global leader in wireless equipment testing technology, to announce the start of live operations at its terminal innovation lab in the UAE.

The facility, said to be a first in the Middle East region, is equipped with Anite’s device and network test solutions.

Du, the first telecom service provider in the Middle East to achieve Global Certification Forum accreditation (GCF), conceptualised the innovation lab to improve mobile device testing and validation to further enhance their end-users’ experience, said the company in a statement.

The Emirati firm is using Anite’s solutions to efficiently and comprehensively test, validate and troubleshoot mobile devices and benchmark performance in both lab and field-based environments to ensure seamless and successful market introduction of new devices.

"We value Anite’s collaboration in establishing the first terminal innovation lab in the Middle East. Its comprehensive range of solutions for testing devices in the lab as well as in the field will help us to accelerate device assessment, reduce time-to-market and enhance users’ experience," stated Saleem Al Blooshi, the executive vice president (Network Development and Operations).
