Mont Blanc has partnered with ideas and innovation company AKQA to create a ScreenWriter app for the iPad.

The StarWalker Extreme ScreenWriter is a luxury writing instrument which will introduce fine writing to the digital world.

This digital experience will compliment the latest writing innovation that masterfully combines Montblanc’s heritage of craftsmanship, its timeless design with the creative use of new technology, said a statement.

The StarWalker Extreme ScreenWriter opens up a world of possibilities: sketching or drawing ideas, making notes or expressing thoughts on a tablet with Montblanc’s signature precision, elegance and style, it said.

Capturing all the elegance and the know-how embodied by the Montblanc Maison, the application software designed by AKQA lets users record their thoughts.

The app features a creative tool to compose free-hand messages directly onto the iPad choosing from a range of nibs, inks and paper styles to perfectly customise personal messages and share them via social channels or email.

In addition, the app takes the user on a journey, to discover the StarWalker Extreme ScreenWriter touch pen and collection, as well as to learn about the story of craftsmanship behind Montblanc’s luxury creations and its mission to stay at the forefront of new writing trends.
