Bahrain's leading telecom services operator Batelco has won the 'Customer Service Provider of the Year' award at the annual CommsMEA Awards held in Dubai, UAE.

The award recognises the operator that has placed the customer at the front and centre of its business by delivering the best service possible.

The newly-appointed acting chief executive for Bahrain Muna Al Hashemi collected the award during a ceremony at the Sofitel Dubai The Palm Resort and Spa.

"Batelco recognises that excellence in customer service underpins the success of any telecom operator and accordingly it has invested heavily in setting up a state-of-the-art customer call centre at its Hamala headquarters," said Al Hashemi.
