Menatelecom boosts fibre optic network

MANAMA, September 16, 2014

Menatelecom, an investment subsidiary of Kuwait Finance House-Bahrain, has made significant investments in the kingdom for enhancement of its nationwide fibre optic network to businesses.

The business solutions provider did not give details on its investment, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Menatelecom owns and operates its own independent fibre optic network with multiple international links offering speeds of up to one Gigabits.

Company chairman Abdul Razak Jawahery said its business customers include financial institutions, government bodies, small and medium enterprises and others.

“Menatelecom has its own private WiMAX, microwave, 4G LTE and fibre networks that span the nation from coast-to-coast while offering international-standard high speed connectivity,” he said.

“With the telecommunications infrastructure in Bahrain experiencing tremendous growth in recent years, we are proud that Menatelecom has made significant contributions to this growth by making major investments in the fibre network.” - TradeArabia News Service
