Mezzan Holding appoints Farghal Group CEO for Food & FMCG

KUWAIT , March 20, 2024

Mezzan Holding KSC, a leading manufacturer and distributor of food, beverage, FMCG and pharmaceutical products in the Gulf, has appointed Amr Farghal as Group Chief Executive Officer for Food and FMCG, effective March 17, 2024. Farghal brings with him over 30 years of experience in multinational companies, including 11 years at Pepsi, and 9 years at Kellogg’s.
 
Prior to his appointment, Farghal served as CEO for Americana Foods. He brings extensive and diverse executive experience, having held various leadership positions at companies like Kellogg’s in the Asia Pacific and Middle East & Africa regions, Pepsi in the USA, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the UAE, and Fonterra Co-operative Group Limited. 
 
He succeeds Garrett Walsh, who held the position of Group Chief Officer since 2011 and played a key role in the expansion of the group's business across the region. He and his team led the company's successful IPO in 2015.
