Major firms join Gulfood Bahrain Pavilion

The Bahraini National Pavilion kicked off yesterday (Monday) at Gulfood 2023 Exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai, UAE. The 28th edition of this major annual show continues to unite food and beverage (F&B) communities around the world, and act as an industry trend springboard and a global sourcing powerhouse.
 
The expo, which is open until Friday, brings together industry leaders to shape the future of the global food and beverage scene and showcase the startups and industry veterans.
 
Bahraini companies participating in this year's edition of the Bahrain Pavilion at "Gulfood 2023" are Awal Dairy, Deeko, BMMI, and Kazerooni Brothers. In addition to a special section for startups that includes MEST, Akron Pack Factory, Labelle Group, Tradish, and Eco Fibre.
 
Gulfood includes almost 5,000 food manufacturing and trading enterprises across the world, including Bahraini companies. More than 100,000 visitors from over 200 countries attend the show. This is the largest edition of its kind in Gulfood's history, with exhibition space expanding by at least 30% over prior years.
 
On its’ first day, the Bahrain Pavilion attracted more than 1,000 visitors who learned about the services and products of 10 Bahraini start-ups and SMEs operating in the food and beverage industry and trade.
 
Bahrain's participation in Gulfood is organized by WorkSmart for Events Management and Alwane Bahrain Society. With the support of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Export Bahrain, to facilitate the participation of  Bahraini companies. 
 
Export Bahrain’s CEO, afa Sharif Abdul Khaliq, visited the Bahrain pavilion at Gulfood. She met with the exhibitors from large companies and startups who supported the Bahrain pavilion in collaboration with WorkSmart.
 
According to Worksmart, Bahrain's food industry has developed into one of the nation's most advanced economic sectors and is crucial to bolstering the overall economy. Bahrain's participation at Gulfood will present additional growth prospects for domestic businesses seeking to sign commercial agreements, foster innovation, and gain knowledge of the event's top topics.
 
Gulfood is held in conjunction with the UAE's preparations to host COP28 this year, as well as the launch of Gulfood Green and many other sustainability initiatives.
