Taitra to launch ‘Machinery Joint Online Exhibition’

TAIPEI, July 5, 2020

Jointly organised by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (Taitra) and Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI), TaipeiPLAS and ShoeTech Taipei, which is originally scheduled to be held in September 2020, will be postponed to a new date which will be announced later.

For those exhibitions to be held this year but affected by the pandemic, the organiser Taitra has launched, one after another, a series of integrated online services, such as "Online 2D/VR exhibitions", " Online Sourcing Meeting", "TTS Webinars", and "Online New Product Launches". It is hoped that TAITRA can work together with exhibitors to overcome difficulties during the pandemic period. Moreover, to implement the "Smart Machinery Overseas Promotion Plan" and "Taiwan Excellence Award (Machinery Industry)" initiated by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Taitra has also launched a series of online integrated marketing activities to help Taiwanese traders grasp global business opportunities!

After the postponement of TaipeiPLAS and ShoeTech, two important machinery shows will be held in the first half of 2021. That is to say, the Taipei Int’l Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS), which is Asia’s second largest and the world’s third largest machine tool show, will be held in March 2021, followed by the Taiwan Int’l Woodworking Machinery Show (Wood Taiwan) in April 2021. It has been announced that registrations for both exhibitions will begin on June 9 and June 15, respectively. It is highly expected that the manufacturing industry will be blooming in the post-pandemic era, and TIMTOS and Wood Taiwan will serve as important platforms to deploy the post-restructured manufacturing supply chains in 2021.-- Tradearabia News Service
