Iran’s Maku FTZ plans petchem units with Germany, Turkey

IRAN, November 4, 2015

Iran’s Maku Free Trade Zone is in contact with firms from Germany and Turkey to invest in petrochemical units in the northwest region of the country, said the zone's managing director in a report.

A delegation from Germany will visit Maku FTZ in the coming weeks and Turkish companies are also interested in investing in the zone, Hossein Foruzan was quoted as saying in an Iran Daily report, citing Shana.

He added that the petrochemical projects are a priority for investment in the zone.

Foruzan cited copious water resources and feedstock supply as major the zone's advantages which justify investment in petrochemical industry, added the report.
