Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), a leading aluminium smelter in the world, has initiated a tree planting campaign as part of its commitment to promote sustainability, and maintain a green and clean environment within the smelter.
 
The campaign was kicked-off last week by the company's management team and labour union representatives, according to a statement by the company.  
 
It will involve the cultivation of 100 tissue culture palm trees by Alba employees around the smelter over the next few months.
