Around 1,500 key regional and international aviation professionals and over 70 leading airport and logistics exhibitors will be present at the Bahrain International Airport Development Forum (BIAD) and second Middle East Air Cargo & Logistics Exhibition (MEACL), which opens tomorrow (April 1) in Bahrain.

Held under the patronage of Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, minister of transportation and telecommunications, the forum is being organised by Arabian Reach in association with Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) – the managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA) and Host Sponsors of the event.

The conference, which will run till April 2, will be held at the Gulf International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The topics of discussion will be focused on airport and logistics developments in the region as engines of economic growth, with special emphasis on airport technology integration, sustainable airport development and strategic planning and boosting the kingdom’s capabilities as a regional warehousing and transport hub. Further areas include the pressing challenges and obstacles faced by the industry and the solutions to overcome them.

The forum will also feature a combination of speeches, presentations and panel discussions with an esteemed line-up of speakers from Bahrain and the global arena, including key representatives from the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, Bahrain’s Civil Aviation Affairs, Bahrain Logistics Zone, the International Air Transport Association (Iata), BAC, and Lockheed Martin, to name a few.

With a substantial number of aviation experts, logistics providers and traders gathering together from the local, regional and international aviation industry, this event promises to offer attendees a significant knowledge-sharing and networking platform, opening up the doors to new business leads, lucrative business prospects and commercial partnerships. Throughout the two-day event, attendees will also benefit from the accompanying exhibition, utilising it to explore and finalise their procurement and supply needs.

In addition to being an ideal networking platform, the event also serves to showcase the kingdom’s ambitious airport modernisation plans and reiterate the country’s significance as a strategic access point to the Gulf’s trillion-dollar market, highlighting BIA’s unparalleled regional connectivity and competitiveness as a major multimodal logistics hub. – TradeArabia News Service
