Saudi plans railway line to Jordan: report
RIYADH, November 4, 2014
Saudi Arabia plans to construct a railway line to Jordan as part of the 2,177-km GCC rail network project, a report said.
"We have already launched projects to link the country's northern region to Jordan by rail networks," Mohamed Khalid Al-Suwaiket, the president of Saudi Rail Organization (SRO), added the Zawya Projects News, which cited the Arabic daily Sabq.
Saudi Arabia is moving ahead with rail projects to link all its parts, he added.
Al-Suwaiket denied recent British media reports about a possible rail link between Saudi Arabia and the UK through Riyadh, according to the report.
