Aerospace summit to focus on UAE’s industrialisation

Dubai, August 7, 2014

Experts from the global aerospace supply chain industries will discuss issues related to the development of a globalized supply chain.

Dubai World Central (DWC), in association with Arabian Reach, will be hosting a summit on December 10 and 11 at the Dubai World Central Conference Hall.

The ‘Aerospace Supply Chain Summit’ will be focused on attracting local and international suppliers to explore business opportunities in the UAE, it said.

The conference will bring together the stake holders representing global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and suppliers to explore opportunities in the DWC and will reinforce UAE's vision for industrialisation, a statement said.

The participants will discuss how to build and maintain successful partnerships to overcome the challenges and risks associated with entering new markets from a supplier's perspective.

Raj Menon, general manager of Arabian Reach, said: “This summit will reinforce long term success within the global aerospace manufacturing sector that is highly dependent on a world class integrated supply chain cycle, starting from research, development, manufacturing and reaching the end users.”

Leaders responsible for driving industrialisation in non-traditional aerospace economies will have the chance to highlight the impact of international joint ventures in the emerging aviation markets, it said.

The conference will also be aimed at welcoming aviation supply chain companies to operate from Dubai and to service Europe, Africa, Middle East, Far East and Indian Subcontinent. – TradeArabia News Service
