90pc space booked for Achema 2009

Frankfurt, November 23, 2008

More than 3,100 global exhibitors from 50 countries have already booked exhibition space at Achema 2009 - the leading international event for chemical engineering, environmental protection and biotechnology.

With more than six months still to go before Achema 2009 opens its doors to visitors, the event’s organiser Dechema (the German Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology) has announced that more than 90 per cent of the available 140,000m² exhibition space has now been booked.

Achema 2009 takes place at the Frankfurt Messe in Frankfurt, Germany, from May 11 to 15, 2009 and also runs alongside an international congress comprising 900 lectures focused on state-of-the-art developments.

“Achema 2009 continues to be the world’s largest industry event and looks on course to attract more than 150,000 visitors once again from 100 different countries,” said UK and Ireland representative for Achema Mike Day.

“The event is truly a global showcase for manufacturers and distributors alike because it attracts large numbers of buyers and senior executives from around the world.  With less than ten percent of exhibition space still available, companies need to move swiftly to claim their space at what promises to be next year’s premier event,” said Day.

“Those who act very quickly will also benefit from the event’s impressive pre-show publicity programme that will roll out during the next six months.  For example, an Achema 2009 newsletter is scheduled to be distributed widely over the next few weeks.”

Achema 2009 is also receiving support from a number of UK-based professional bodies and government agencies including the Institution of Chemical Engineers, Gambica and UKTI. – TradeArabia News Service
