Indian energy equipment maker Bharat Heavy Electricals said it had received an order for two gas turbine generating units of 42 MW each, valued at 1.5 billion rupees ($38 million).

The order is from Al Ghail Power, a wholly owned unit of Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority of the UAE, it said in a statement.

The Middle East is a key export region, and BHEL aims to increase its overall exports by six times by 2012, it said.
