DUBAI, February 11, 2018

Canadian Specialist Hospital (CSH), one of the most advanced and comprehensive healthcare institutions in the Middle East, is celebrating a decade of serving patients in the emirate and the region.

The hospital, which commenced operations in 2008, has since expanded its facilities and services over the years to cater to patients with various requirements.

The hospital currently offers more than 35 specialties including cardiology, dermatology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, nephrology, dialysis and a rehabilitation department.

The rehabilitation department provides services for orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, oncological and metabolic treatment. Furthermore, the hospital accepts all major insurances (including Daman Insurance, Oman Insurance, Nextcare, NAS, ADNIC, Alico) on over 40 treatments.

CSH plans to further expand by adding in four new departments along with top-of-the-line equipment and qualified staff. In commemoration of its 10th anniversary, the hospital plans to present their long-serving employees and the very first patients from back in 2008 with symbolic gold coins as souvenirs.

As a part of its extension plans, the hospital will be adding new departments this year for oncology, pediatric surgery, pediatric neurology and family medicine. It will also focus on upgrading equipment and recruiting more specialized staff.

CEO Dr Yashar Ali said: "We began our journey as a daycare hospital with merely 20 beds and about 10 departments in 2004. It was our chairman Mohammad Rashid Al Falasi, who had the vision to establish a hospital that provides world-class medical facility and caters to the tertiary health care needs while offering state-of-the-art diagnostic, curative and rehabilitative services at international standards with evidence-based ethical healthcare for a healthy and happy community."

Ali pointed out that in terms of technology, a lot has changed and evolved within in the last decade in the healthcare sector.

"As a provider, we have to plan for the upcoming future and constantly evolve ourselves to keep up with the latest trends and innovation.  In fact, we will soon be launching our 4D CT scan machine which is an advanced imaging method that generates faster and more accurate results,” he added.

Canadian Specialist Hospital received its third JCI accreditation recently and is also certified by Temos for ‘Quality in International Patient Care’ and ‘Excellence in Medical Tourism’.-TradeArabia News Service
