The Thumbay Group’s healthcare division has opened a new state-of-the-art Thumbay Clinic and an outlet of Thumbay Pharmacy in Ras Al Khaimah.

The soft opening was held in the presence of Thumbay Group founder president Thumbay Moideen. Gulf Medical University (GMU) provost Professor Gita Ashok Raj was the chief guest. Akbar Moideen Thumbay, vice president of the healthcare division and members of the administrative team of Thumbay Group were also present at the opening.

The newly opened clinic, complete with laboratory services, is the latest addition to Thumbay Group’s growing number of healthcare services focusing primarily on personalized services, convenience and affordability, according to a company statement.

The clinic has Obstetrics & Gynaecology, General Surgery, Internal Medicine and General Medicine departments. Highly qualified specialists are in place to treat the patients. The newly opened Thumbay Pharmacy offering the complete range of medical equipment and rehabilitation care products is located adjacent to the new clinic.

Moideen Thumbay said that many more such clinics and pharmacies were being planned to be opened across the UAE in the coming years. He added that the group was also planning to acquire existing clinics and pharmacies. “Thumbay Group is committed to deliver high-quality, patient-focused, cost-effective healthcare at people’s doorsteps,” he said. He also announced that three more Thumbay Pharmacies would be opened in December 2015 and January 2016.

To celebrate the opening of the new Thumbay Clinic, a ‘Free Health Camp’ is being conducted at the new clinic starting from the inaugural day, until December 20. The camp offers free consultations and check-up, free blood sugar and blood pressure check-ups and BMI check, in addition to a 50 per cent discount on laboratory services. -TradeArabia News Service
