Students to win Amity scholarships at Gitex

DUBAI, September 30, 2015

The students visiting the upcoming Gitex Shopper 2015 will get the opportunity to win a university scholarship by submitting their best report cards, through an initiative launched by the Amity University.
 
The event will run from October 3 to 10 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
 
The scholarships - each worth Dh35,000 ($9,526.8), will be applicable to any bachelor's degree or master's degree offered by the university. 
 
The successful candidate will be those with the highest marks on their report card submitted each day of the event.
 
Trixie LohMirmand, senior vice president, DWTC, the organiser of the event, said: “Modern day education is embedded with a variety of, computers, projectors, internet, and many more technology tools. We are delighted to partner with Amity University Dubai to provide educational opportunities for talented students and ensure that technology remains at the forefront of the future workforce throughout the region.

Originating in India, the Amity Education Group has grown to become a leading private non-profit education group with a total of five universities, 13 institution campuses in India and nine international campuses, said the statement.
 
It has instituted over 125 scholarships on meritorious, Emirati, gender and financial grounds and focuses largely on the commitment of nurturing talent through world class education, it said.
 
Based out of Dubai International Academic City (DIAC), Amity University Dubai offers bachelor’s degrees in business administration, arts, science, technology and architecture with a variety of majors, which are internationally recognised.

The eligibility is open to all students who have passed grade 11, and who visit Gitex Shopper with a special promotional student ticket priced at Dh10 ($2.7). 
 
The candidates have been asked to complete an entry form at the Amity University stall at Gitex Shopper and submit their report cards either in hardcopy or via email, with winners to be notified post event after marks are verified by the admissions team at Amity University Dubai. - TradeArabia News Service
