BIBF to host ACCA introductory session

Manama, June 22, 2014

Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) is set to host an introductory session for aspiring finance and accounting professionals on June 24.

The session, which will take place at the BIBF’s premises in Juffair in collaboration with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), is aimed at providing aspiring finance and accounting professionals with an opportunity to gain insight into a career path within the financial industry through ACCA’s qualification, said a statement.

The ACCA is a fast-growing global professional accountancy body with 162,000 members and 428,000 students in 173 countries, offering individuals business-relevant, accredited qualifications in accountancy, finance and management.

Deen Jayah, BIBF’s head of Centre for Accounting and Finance, said: “According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, accounting jobs are expected to grow 22 per cent between 2012 and 2022. The accounting profession also ranks at No 3 on the US News Best Business Jobs list. This showcases the growth potential of being an ACCA accredited professional within the field.

“BIBF enjoys a ‘Gold’ Approved Learning Partner status by the ACCA, a demonstration of its commitment and perseverance in providing quality education that supports attainment of career-focused qualifications.” - TradeArabia News Service
