Gabbitas to manage 4 new schools in Dubai

Dubai, April 29, 2014

UK-based Gabbitas Educational Consultants has signed an agreement to manage four new British curriculum schools in Dubai being set up with an investment of Dh500 million by Mohan Valrani,  a prominent Dubai businessman.

Gabbitas, a global expert in education, has also announced the launch of its Middle East operations with the opening of a new office in Dubai.

The new office will meet the growing demand for personalised educational services and advice on high quality educational options – independent schools, higher education and special needs - for families living and residing in the region, a statement said.

Founded in the UK in 1873, Gabbitas provides a comprehensive range of educational services, from guardianship services to school consultancy. The launch event was held at the British Embassy Dubai on April 28, hosted by Consul General Edward Hobart.

Gabbitas will work closely with Valrani to create the new schools in Dubai – two primary and two secondary schools – which will open in phases through 2016-2019.

Valrani, who is the promoter of the schools, has been active in education in a private capacity for many years.

Speaking about the Middle East launch, Ian Hunt, managing director of Gabbitas Educational Consultants, said: “Gabbitas has been working to help families access the best of British education for well over 100 years and we believe the time is right for us to open in the Middle East, where there is strong demand for more personalised and better informed services regarding schooling and higher education. We are especially excited to announce the signing of an agreement with Mr Mohan Valrani to create four new schools in Dubai, which will offer high quality British curriculum options for the local community.” - TradeArabia News Service
