UAE finance ministry confirms salary transfers

The UAE Ministry of Finance said it has successfully finalized the transfers of salaries for January, including the promised increments to the Emirati staff on the occasion of the country's 40th National Day celebration.
A total of 38,000 employees at federal government entities would benefit from this hike in salaries, in addition to 31,600 recipients of social aid and benefits, said Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance.
According to him, the increase will also benefit 12,000 retired employees, whose minimum pension has been raised from Dh6000 to Dh10,000 per month.
Sheikh Hamdan lauded the efforts of UAE leadership in achieving a high standard of living for UAE residents.
A total of 10,721 Emirati nationals employed in the public education sector, including teachers, directors, and principles received an allowance increase of a 100 per cent in addition to the pre-determined increment, he added.
Sheikh Hamdan said the Ministry has also raised technical bonuses for members of medical organizations, including doctors, pharmacists and technicians by 100 per cent.
A total number of 7,317 doctors and technicians received this raises, which were provided in addition to the pre-determined increments for employees working within federal organizations, he added.
"Increases amounting to 100 per cent were also provided to 392 members of the judicial system," said Sheikh Hamdan.
Also salaries for 460 employees in the Diplomatic and Consular Corps in addition to Ambassadors employed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were also reviewed, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
