Bain partner named for leadership award

The World Economic Forum (WEF) has nominated Julien Faye, a Middle East-based partner of the global business consulting firm Bain & Company, as one of its Young Global Leaders of 2009.

Faye heads Bain’s financial services practice in the Middle East and is a seasoned advisor to financial institutions and a recognised business strategist. In announcing his appointment, the forum recognised Faye’s professional accomplishments, commitment to society and potential to contribute to shaping the future of the world.

"Julien Faye’s track record of results for clients and the community in the Middle East, as well as his outstanding consulting skills have contributed to his nomination as a Young Global Leader," said Jean-Marie Péan, chairman of Bain & Company in the Middle East.

"We are very proud of his recognition by the World Economic Forum. This will be an asset and an incentive for him to continue to contribute to the development of the region’s economies,” he added.

Faye, who is one of the founding partners of Bain & Company Middle East said: “I am honoured to be nominated as a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum. I intend to continue being involved in growing our capabilities in the Middle East, to contribute to the development of the region and its societies.”

For the past 15 years Faye, who is based in the UAE, has advised financial services firms in the Middle East, Europe and North America. His clients have included corporate and investment banks, sovereign funds, asset management, exchanges, retail and private banks, financial regulators and professional associations.

The Young Global Leaders (YGL) honor is bestowed each year by the World Economic Forum to between 200 and 300 outstanding young leaders from around the world. This year, the forum has nominated YGL from 71 countries. – TradeArabia News Service
