UAE-based developer Cityland Group has joined hands with leading retail and leisure pioneer Majid Al Futtaim to launch a 109,000-sq-ft Carrefour Hypermarket at Cityland Mall, the UAE's first nature-inspired shopping destination, located in Dubai.

The Carrefour opening comes as part of the Cityland Group's ambitious project which will cater to the residential communities of Arabian Ranches, Majan, Al Barari, Layan, The Villa and Falcon City and several upcoming communities like Villanova, Arabian Ranches Extension, all of which are located within a ten-minute drive-time.  

Once completed, the mall will offer an unrivalled shopping and leisure experience, said the statement from Cityland Group.

It has already been honoured with Global RLI innovation awards in 2018, underpinning the developer’s efforts to introduce a distinguished project in the real estate and retail landscape, it added.

Carrefour, operating under Majid Al Futtaim Retail, will offer customers a wide variety of their signature items, including fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, fish, and high-quality non-food products, in addition to a Healthy Kitchen aisle, Food2Go, and Cuisines of the World at unprecedented prices, said the developer.

In addition to its extensive retail and food and beverage offering, the retail hub will boast a 200,000-sq-ft botanical garden - “Central Park”, a mini water park, an amphitheatre with 3,000 seating capacity, an ancient tree garden, Japanese Garden and mini version of Dubai Miracle Garden, 360 rooftop garden as well as a family entertainment area complete with cinema complex.
