KAEC seals beach community project deal

JEDDAH, December 22, 2015

King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), a special economic zone on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast, has awarded a SR42-million ($11.2 million) contract to Salim Al Harth Establishment for the development of infrastructure at its upcoming The Beach Community 3 development, said a report.

As per the contract, Al Harth will develop all the underlying infrastructure for the development, including roads, wiring, utility connections and piping, said a statement from KAEC.

The Beach Community developments have attracted significant interest from the market. The first two developments are both fully sold out and Beach Community 3 is already 70 per cent sold, it stated.

Fahd Al Rasheed, the managing director and chief executive, said: "Development at KAEC is moving forward in line with the city’s strategy, delivering on our commitments to customers and maintaining the very highest international standards of quality."

“Our Beach Community residences offer an exceptional quality of life, defined by extraordinary scenic surrounds and proximity to world-class health and leisure facilities,” stated Al Rasheed.

Beach Community is an exclusive coastal neighbourhood in the high-end Murooj district of the economic city.

Comprising 220 plots of residential land, the neighbourhood enjoys sweeping views of the unspoiled Red Sea coast and is in close proximity to the world-class Royal Greens Golf and Country Club.

On the contract win, Sayad Al Harth, the general manager of Al Harth, said: "KAEC offers a model, modern lifestyle combining economic prosperity and an outstanding residential environment. We are very proud to have this opportunity to contribute to the city’s continued development."-TradeArabia News Service
