Four construction workers were killed and four others were injured when the loader in whose bucket they were travelling toppled in Yiti, Oman.

All the workers were from Bangaldesh and some of them undocumented.

Of the workers travelling in the loader bucket to their work site, three were crushed to death on the spot, while one succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Muscat, said a Times of Oman report.

Four who suffered injuries were rushed to the hospital by the police, the report said quoting sources in Yiti.

All the victims were employed at a landscape project in Jebel Sifah. Workers travelling in loader buckets is a common sight in Yiti, despite the risks involved.
