DC Pro Engineering UAE, a leading global authority in district energy and regional pioneer in sustainable green building MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) designs, has earned top honours at a leading district cooling conference in Bangkok, Thailand.

The company won its second consecutive ‘District Cooling Consultant of the Year’ award at this year’s fourth Asia Pacific District Cooling Conference, which was organised by Fleming Gulf, a leading provider of business intelligence through industry-specific conferences.

CEO George Berbari, who received the award, delivered at the event a presentation which championed the tri-generation technology – a process by which simultaneous generation of electric power is synchronised with photovoltaic energy to create waste heat and produce cooling.

This technique, stated Berbari, could result in saving of up to 100,000 barrels per day (bpd) in Thai oil imports.

“As part of our efforts to educate public and private sector entities on the advantages and benefits of district cooling in today’s ultra-modern urban centres, we ensure that our designs and recommendations are in accordance with international efforts to address the spectre of global warming and climate change,” he added.

The fourth edition of Asia Pacific District Cooling Conference and Awards was presented by ReEx Capital and the World Alliance for Decentralised Energy.-TradeArabia News Service
