Fowler (2nd from left) receives the lifetime achievement award

Exova executive receives top recognition

DUBAI, July 30, 2015

Dr Chris Fowler, global corrosion director of international testing group Exova, has been honoured by the Nace International Institute with a re-appointment to the board and was also awarded a lifetime achievement award in the Middle East.

Dr Fowler, a past president of Nace, has been re-elected for a further three years from January 2016.  His presidency will run until the end of 2016, when he will continue in the role of president.

Renowned for his work on tackling the global corrosion challenge, Dr Fowler was also honoured with the first ever lifetime achievement award by the Nace Middle East Area. The award recognised his expertise on sour service corrosion, and his leadership in educating the industry on corrosion solutions, including the recent introduction of MR0175 training and accreditation.

Dr Roger Digby, Exova group technical director, said: “This is very well deserved recognition for Chris and we are pleased to see him continue in such an important role with Nace. His energy and tireless commitment are an inspiration to his colleagues both within Exova and the wider Nace community, and the depth and breadth of his knowledge keeps Exova at the forefront of the understanding of corrosion for the oil & gas industry.” – TradeArabia News Service
