Averda, one of the largest environmental solutions provider in the Middle East and Africa region, said it has won a seven-year contract to provide city cleaning services to Moroccan capital Rabat.

A major provider of integrated waste management solutions across the emerging world, averda said the win was a result of its efforts, expertise, and dedication in serving the citizens of both the political and business Moroccan capitals Rabat and Casablanca.

Commenting on the win, chairman Maysarah Sukkar said: "Morocco has been a strategic long-term choice for averda since the company was awarded the contracts for a sanitary landfill management, waste collection and cleaning in 2012."

Since then averda is providing many provinces with extensive sustainable environmental services that range from street cleaning through to waste collection, treatment, disposal, and recycling.

The company has been at the forefront of innovation in the regional market, providing sustainable solutions and more than 35 years of experience in the effective management of waste for both private and public sector clients across pedestrian, residential, commercial and industrial areas.
