UAE back in property investment spotlight

ABU DHABI, September 11, 2014

With a number of projects in the pipeline and an increase in real estate transactions after the 2008 property crash, the UAE is now taking the centre stage in the property realm, said an expert.

In the past few months, the UAE's economy has benefited tremendously from its reputation as a stable country in the region; particularly working in favour of its non-oil sectors such as tourism and real estate, stated Listaproperty.com, a premier real estate marketing portal based in Dubai.

The transactions in the first half have also pointed towards a strong and evolving real estate sector in the capital UAE Abu Dhabi as well as Dubai, it added.

The UAE real estate market has recovered from the 2008 property crash and envisages a positive growth in the coming years, said a senior official.

"We have noted an increase in property searches in the UAE as well as other Mena countries this year by the UAE residents. Local buyers and investors are confident about the market conditions and look forward to investing in a growing real estate market," remarked Yasir Abbasi, the business development manager of Listaproperty.com.

In line with these trends, Mindscape Exhibition in association with Listaproperty.com is set to host its first ever regional edition of International Property Investor Show (iPI Show) in Abu Dhabi.

"As the capital of the UAE, Abu Dhabi has one of the best performing real estate markets in the Mena region along with a strong government support for its real estate players. Also Abu Dhabi's real estate investment is projected to grow to Dh600 million ($163.3 million) by 2030, thus making the emirate an ideal venue for our event," explained Sumit Pal, the director of iPI Show.

The event, to be  held from September 27 to 28 at Sofitel Hotel, is targeted at high net-worth individuals in Abu Dhabi.

At the iPI Show, agents and developers will have the opportunity to exhibit and reach out to a wide variety of buyers and investors, while visitors to the exhibition will include private and government investment authorities, serious property buyers, real estate professionals and Indian property investors amongst others, he added.

"At this point of time, an event such as the iPI Show will cater to the real estate needs of all the different sections of the market," stated Abbasi.

"We have always believed in exposing our clients and customers to the real estate market developments; and associating with iPI Show fulfils our promise of delivering better marketing opportunities for property owners, agents, brokers and developers," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
