Barwa awards housing project contract

Qatari developer Barwa Real Estate has awarded a key contract to CRC Dorra (Construction & Reconstruction Engineering Company) for the development of the second phase of its Barwa Al Baraha housing project, said a report.

Barwa Al Baraha project is the company's largest development being constructed for workers in Qatar, reported the Peninsula.

As per the deal, the contractor will build the elements of package 2 which consists of 32 buildings of G+ 3 floors, it stated.

Each building will contain 130 rooms, as package 2 will accommodate 24,000 workers. In addition to constructing four dining halls, two play grounds, two mosques, as well as restaurants and utility shops.

Upon completion the project will boast of 9,872 rooms for 53,000 workers and professionals.
