Dubai Bank has awarded its prestigious Jumeirah branch project to Amana Contracting and Steel Buildings, a regional leader in the design, construction and commissioning of commercial and industrial buildings in the Middle East.

The Dh28 million ($7.8 million) turnkey contract involves the construction of the building spread across 6,600 sq m over four levels – basement, ground, mezzanine and first levels. The total area of the land is 3,000 sq m.

The building, a trademark design by Naga, will be ready for handover with the necessary fit-out works by end of April next year. Naga Architects are the project consultants.

In his comments, Mohammed Al Qarout, general manager of Amana special projects, said the new Dubai Bank branch in Jumeirah was a landmark project.

"Once complete, the building will boast of the most modern, interactive equipment and security systems required for the bank. The time frame is very crucial and the project is being executed through perfect and stringent planning, he remarked.

Mohammed added: “We have the in-house design capabilities that are continuously fed with site experiences for tailored projects such as these."

"We have a lot of plans in place aimed at our involvement with projects in the commercial and other sectors, both within the UAE and across the Gulf," he observed.

Amana has leveraged its internal competencies and experiences to streamline the project’s costs with value engineered design trademarked for Dubai Bank.

Commenting on the project, Ali A. Al Hashimi, chief operating officer at Dubai Bank, said: “We are happy to award this prestigious Jumeirah branch project to Amana, which is famed for its quality delivery schedules and regional expertise in constructing iconic buildings in the region."
