Middle East Payment Services (MEPS), a top payment services provider in the Middle East, has signed a partnership agreement with the Jordan Post, whereby it will provide all post offices across the Kingdom with point-of-sale devices.

This step will allow Visa and MasterCard holders to pay for the various services available at the post office.

The agreement was inked at the Jordan Post headquarters by MEPS CEO, Khaled Zakaria and Jordan Post acting general manager Maher Mohammad Qasim Abu Merei.

"This step corresponds with MEPS’ ongoing efforts to foster strategic partnerships with public and private sector entities to enable flexible and reliable payment methods for citizens in various fields. In addition, the partnership embodies our determination to promote a secure field of electronic payment services in the Kingdom while adhering to the e-government program that strives to expand the implementation of electronic governmental transactions across the Kingdom,” said Zakaria.

Abu Merei stated that the agreement underscores Jordan Post’s endeavours to adopt state-of-the-art technological solutions to accelerate the working pace at the post offices, subsequently improving the level of customer service provided. – TradeArabia News Service
