Bahrain-based BBK has joined hands with Bahrain Kuwait Insurance Company (BKIC) to launch a new range of products under its bancassurance brand, Secura.

Having a more than a decade-long partnership with BKIC, the bank was one of the first in the region to sell motor, home and travel insurance policies throughout its branches in Bahrain.

Under the move, Secura is being re-established as BBK's comprehensive insurance brand, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

The new products have been enhanced over their initial versions which were introduced earlier and offer extremely competitive and unique coverage details as well as pricing.

The new products are, MotorSecura, a motor insurance policy with benefits extending beyond the insured vehicle; HomeSecura, a policy for residential properties with benefits that extend beyond fire and special perils insurance coverage; TravelSecura, a travel insurance policy covering the entire family in one policy and HopeSecura, a product covering 12 critical illnesses.

BBK chief executive Abdul Karim Bucheery said the launch was part of the bank's continuing efforts in addressing all the financial needs of their customers. The product and service range is enhanced regularly to cater to the ever changing needs of the market.

"We are confident that our product and service offerings are unmatched in the local market," Mr Bucheery added.

"We are delighted to take this partnership with BBK to the next level," BKIC chief executive Ebrahim Al Rayes said.

"We have worked closely to ensure that there is a product to suit every BBK customer need.

"We have developed a state-of-the-art IT system which enables the issuance of policies on the spot at BBK branches with an online referral module to ensure the best services to BBK clients," Mr Al Rayes said.

"The Secura brand's look has been revamped. The new sleek look reflects the enhancement of the product range."

BBK's two insurance partners for Secura are BKIC and Medgulf Takaful.

In May last year, BBK launched seven life insurance products and saving plans with Medgulf Takaful.-TradeArabia News Service
