ANB Q2 profit inches down

Arab National Bank (ANB), the Saudi affiliate of Jordan's Arab Bank, said its second-quarter profit inched down 0.8 per cent.

ANB made a net profit of 746 million riyals ($198.9 million) in the three months ending June 30, 2009 against a net profit of 752 million riyals in the year-earlier period, it said in a statement on the Saudi bourse website. It did not explain the decline.-Reuters
