Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB) has highlighted how it is helping position Bahrain as a regional hub for the MICE industry, at a major international event in Riyadh.
EWB participated at the recent International Association of Exhibitions and Events’ (IAEE) EXPO! EXPO! MENA in Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition, Saudi Arabia, as one of the gold sponsors.
EWB took part in expo with a delegation, led by Dr Debbie Kristiansen, the General Manager of EWB, and participated by Anas Ateeq, Senior Manager of International Exhibitions and Live Events at EWB, and Ali Lari, Senior Manager of Corporate and Government at EWB.
Dr Kristiansen joined a distinguished line-up of speakers at the event, sharing her viewpoints and thoughts at a panel titled “Positioning Your Destination Strategically: Convention Centres”.
She highlighted how the MICE industry in the Kingdom of Bahrain has evolved over the past few years and how the Kingdom is strategically positioning itself in the region in the coming year.
IAEE’s EXPO! EXPO! MENA attendees from all around the globe had the chance to visit EWB’s exhibition stand to explore the state-of-the-art facilities and exceptional services provided by the newest and one of the largest exhibition venues in the region, featuring spacious exhibition halls and multiple storage spaces and supported by cutting-edge technologies to incorporate every type of event, from conferences to large weddings, graduations, theatrical performances, gala celebrations, and much more.
Held for the first time outside the US, IAEE’s EXPO! EXPO! is a diverse, interactive event that fosters an environment of thought leadership, best practices, and innovation.
The premier event for the exhibitions and conferences industry attracted more than 100 exhibitors and MICE experts worldwide, including government officials and associations in the Middle East and North Africa, expo owners, executives, directors, and managers from organisations that plan and produce a diverse collection of regional and global events.
Dr Kristiansen stated: “We are thrilled to partner with IAEE’s EXPO! EXPO! MENA as the golden sponsor of this prestigious event and to make the most of our participation at the expo with our stand to showcase our extensive range of services and unique facilities serving all types of events and occasions and shed light on Bahrain’s keen endeavour to position itself as a strategic regional MICE hub. EWB is proud to be an IAEE member which allowed us to participate in this significant event that was hosted outside the United States for the first time.
“IAEE’s EXPO! EXPO! MENA is considered an ideal platform to promote EWB and maximise our market exposure by networking and forming new partnerships with leading expo organisers, decision makers and influencers in the MENA region and worldwide, which will help us distinguish ourselves among major global MICE players,” she said.
Dr Kristiansen added: “Our teams at EWB are working vigorously to attract the largest international exhibitions and conferences that serve all sectors of the kingdom, focusing on primary sectors identified within the Kingdom’s 2030 vision. We are committed to building a long-term legacy for the Kingdom of Bahrain by continuing to host world-class events as part of our commitment towards contributing to fulfilling the Kingdom's tourism strategy 2022-2026 by working closely with the Ministry of Tourism, BTEA and other related parties.” -TradeArabia News Service
