Madayn industrial city road work to be completed next month

Oman's Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) has announced that the road rehabilitation work at Al Wadi Al Kabir Industrial City in the sultanate is progressing well and is due for completion next month.

A local company was awarded the tender for the implementation and repairs of the damaged roads.

Madayn, which recently took over the management of the industrial city, said work has entered into the fast track specifically in the industrial blocks: (142, 144, 146, 154, 158).

The takeover move was mainly due to the significance of ensuring utmost security, safety and environmental health standards and the necessity of re-planning the industrial city and enhancing the work environment, stated Engineer Badr Al Abri, the Director of Al Wadi Al Kabir Industrial City Project.

It had recently awarded a tender to provide consultancy services for the rehabilitation and design of Al Wadi Al Kabir Industrial City.

Al Abri pointed out that Madayn has prepared a three-year implementation plan for the Al Wadi Al Kabir, which is one of the oldest service industrial cities in the Muscat governorate.

The Omani group has identified the proposed industrial activities to address their respective situations.

Work on the management’s office within the industrial city has been completed and the Masar Service Centre is now operational, offering a wide range of services to investors, he added.
