250 exhibitors to take part in Gitex Saudi

More than 250 local and international exhibitors from 16 countries will take part in Gitex Saudi Arabia 2012, the 11th international information and communications technology exhibition, opening in Riyadh next week.

The expo, being held under the patronage of Eng Mohamed Jamil Bin Ahmed Mulla, the Minister of Communications & Information Technology, will run from May 21 to 24 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Aiming to showcase latest developments and emerging trends within the buoyant Saudi ICT sector, Gitex Saudi Arabia has generated remarkable interest from the local public sector, underlined by the participation of the Ministry of Communications & IT, the Ministry of Interior-NIC, the Ministry of Justice, e-Government Program (Yesser), Riyadh Municipality, Technical & Vocational Training Corp., Commission for Communications & Information Technology (CITC), BADIR-ICT, said a statement.

Furthermore, companies from China, India, Pakistan, Taiwan, Japan, UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon, Czech Republic, England, Turkey, UK, Germany and Saudi Arabia will take part in the event.
“Projected growth in the local information technology sector has been fueling demand for advanced IT solutions, keeping pace with the evolving business and lifestyle needs of people. Gitex Saudi Arabia 2012 will present valuable insights on the future of the Kingdom’s ICT market and provide manufacturers, service providers, legislators and consumers with an ideal platform that addresses their various IT business requirements,”  said a spokesperson from Riyadh Exhibitions Company.

Gitex Saudi Arabia will tap into latest advanced ISP solutions, card technologies and smart chips, consultancy and training, customer relationship management (CRM), digital imaging and graphics, e-business, money management, information management, networks and business communications, office automation, online information systems, security solutions and wireless computing among others.

The exhibition will run concurrently with Saudi Communications 2012 – the 14th international telecommunications exhibition which will serve as the business-to-business portion of Gitex. – TradeArabia News Service
