HP Saudi is gearing up to host its biggest technology event in the Kingdom, "HP Instant On Conference," which aims to address the IT and innovation needs of Saudi enterprises.

The conference, to be held from March 5 to 6 in Riyadh, will provide CIOs, IT and data centre managers and solution architects in Saudi Arabia with the very latest solutions and products by HP and its key global partners including Microsoft, SAP and Avaya.

"Saudi Arabia has the biggest IT market in the Gulf region, one that will be worth $4.6billion by 2014. Al Shoura Council has a strategic objective for the IT industry to raise its contribution to the GDP to 20 per cent  by 2020," said Ziad Mortaja, country manager, HP Saudi Arabia.

"At HP Saudi Arabia, our objective has been to introduce a number of services and innovations to contribute to and aid this development," he added.

According to research conducted on behalf of HP Saudi Arabia, three quarters of business leaders say that their technology department is a fundamental enabler of their business’ success while 84 per cent of business leaders say that innovation is critical to their business success in this new world.

HP’s main focus at the event will be showcasing Instant On Enterprise, a set of integrated solutions that enable businesses and governments to respond to customers and stakeholders in seconds and “instants,” instead of weeks and days, said Mortaja.

With Instant On Enterprise, HP is helping organizations reinvent their use of technology to deliver innovation at every point in the value chain within the enterprise, said a company statement.

This includes the services that are delivered, the mobile devices that provide the access, and the global data centres required to power the Instant-On Enterprise.

A number of plenary sessions from industry leaders, business and technology breakout sessions, workshops, demo theatres and an enterprise innovations expo are scheduled for attendees on March 6, the statement added.-TradeArabia News Service
