Gulf Dynamic Switchgear (GDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of M'Sharie, the private equity arm of Dubai Investments, has bagged a Dh12 million ($3.27 million) contract for the supply of low voltage distribution boards for MotorCity Uptown Area 2.

MotorCity is a freehold master-planned neighbourhood with residential apartments, amenities, schools, swimming pools, park areas, sports facilities and retail outlets.

'Being awarded this major contract by MotorCity is testament to the quality of our electrical products and reinforces our market leading position. MotorCity is one of the premier destination developments in the UAE, and GDS is pleased to be associated with this project. Moreover, MotorCity will be another prestigious addition to the fast growing list of high profile projects that we are involved with,' said general manager, GDS, August Schmid.

GDS manufactures main distribution boards, sub main distribution boards, motor control centres, feeder pillars and street lighting panels, synchronising panels, and many more panels for specific requirements.

Founded in 1981, GDS designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of specialised electrical products that are used throughout the Middle East in the government and private sector.
