Dubai, May 13, 2012

The Hotel Show, set to open in Dubai on Tuesday (May 15), brings its green initiative to the forefront with a record number of exhibitors participating in the programme.

The full spectrum hospitality supplies show, from May 15 to 17 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, provides an essential platform for the global hospitality industry to showcase the latest products, services and innovations to the fast growing regional markets.

The Green Initiative will highlight  sustainable, energy efficient and eco-friendly solutions from all sectors of the industry.  These include companies as diverse as ABB, Pedro Y Lopez, Axminster Carpets, King Koil, Serta, Renarte, ADA Cosmetics International GmbH, Systemfiltration, Interel, Technogym and Hypnos.

Headline technology sponsor Etisalat will highlight its pioneering eHospitality services during the show.

Commenting on the participation in The Hotel Show, Abdulla Al Ahmed, senior vice president – business, at Etisalat said: “For the hospitality industry, service experience is a core and the most competitive differentiator. We are delighted to sponsor and participate in The Hotel show for the second consecutive year. The event is an ideal platform for us to demonstrate our pioneering eHospitality solutions designed to give a strong value proposition to our customers in the hospitality segment.”

Etisalat’s eHospitality services provide hotels in the UAE high-speed Internet, high definition voice and content-rich TV services for a unique guest experience. “Moreover, our customer-centric services help streamline service delivery mechanism for hotels and provide higher operational and cost efficiencies,” he said.

In addition to The Green Initiative, The Hotel Show plays host to a Green Day programme of seminars and workshops on May 16, presented by industry leaders and experts.

With participation from Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Dubai Government, Emirates Environmental Group, leading facilities management company Farnek Avireal, and Green Globe, key focus for the programme is the triple bottom line contribution required from sustainability initiatives for the hotel industry, and how to implement them.

“Sustainability is fast becoming an integral part of hospitality operations and management, not only to help conserve resources and reduce carbon footprints, but to ensure the most cost efficient approach to running hotel operations.  The Green Initiative and the Green Day seminars offer industry professionals direction and practical insights into making their businesses as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible,” said Frederique Maurell, exhibition director of The Hotel Show.  – TradeArabia News Service
